The Fruit of an Oyster---A pearl
There once was a man that was proud of his kids and enjoyed showing them off to other people when the opportunity came along. This man had 5 kids, 4 boys and a girl. One of the boys was in the 4th grade and showed some promise in the performance area. He had a real love for acting (sometimes up) in public, when the chance presented itself. He would sometimes help the chance to present itself if its timing didn't match his.
There was one time I can recall that he was selected to perform with the Houston Grand Opera in their presentation of Hansel and Gretel. He was pretty hyped about it....we all were, really. I bought about $300 worth of tickets to the performance for everyone in my office to come see my son perform with the Professionals. It was more nerve wracking for his mother and father that it was on him, since he was doing what he really loved doing. We all sat through the Operatic version....fairly dull for me from one end to the other. We got to see him in about the last 2 minutes of the play, with a bunch of other children. Everyone gave a standing ovation at the end and when we met in the foyer of the opera house, the people in the office asked Kyle if he would autograph their program. After he signed about 3 or 4 of them. he turned to mom and dad and asked, "Do you think you could get me a signature stamp? All this writing is tiring me out."

He was with the Houston Grand Opera, The Houston Symphony, and in the play "Oliver" within about a year and a half. I think that's where he contracted the bug with an incurable dose. This is the point that I think his story telling started to get a healthy workout. Needless to say, we were very proud of him.
By the way.......he never got the signature stamp....We felt he needed to spend more time with his fans and not less......
